Freddie Rick's Career


Freddie Rick is the founder and CEO of BetterTrades. He entered the US Marine Corp after graduating from high school in 1984. He credits the Marines for helping hone his leadership skills. He was discharged at the rank of sergeant.

Freddie worked in network marketing where he developed the ability to speak in front of large groups. Around this time, Freddie Rick met the woman who later became his wife, Mitzi. Together, they realized that they both enjoyed trading in the stock market. He read all the stock market information he could find to give him the ability to understand the stock market.

He joined another nationally known network marketer but soon parted ways with them to pursue his dreams of trading. Freddie Rick earned his insurance license and his broker's license. He then founded a small company called the "Gump Investor," that would be the forerunner of BetterTrades.

"Forrest Gump didn't question what he was told to do. He just did it," Freddie said. "People like that. They like being told the steps to take."

At first, classes would occur at the Rick home and learn to be taught by Freddie. He soon began to put the materials together and present them as a class, which helped his students learn about the stock market.

The company continued to grow, and in 2002 Freddie Rick founded BetterTrades.

Freddie Rick's background is varied and diverse. His bio reveals his small-town roots are based in the Louisiana bayou. His personal life and career has been filled with trials and tribulations. Noted for his enthusiastic and gregarious style, Freddie Rick has spoken at many multi-speaker events. His devotion to the company he founded leaves him always eager to talk about BetterTrades.
